These days it’s basically written into our constitution: voting requires a community sausage sizzle (cake stand a delightful optional).
This Saturday (17 March) we will all be fronting up at our local polling booth to hold Tribunal Council and vote the next person off the island. No sorry, we will be voting for the next State Government, elected to run our great state for the next 4 years. Jokes aside, being able to democratically elect our next State Government (and Federal for that matter) is an absolute privilege that we’re pretty chuffed to be able to be a part of.
Of course, undertaking our democratic process wouldn’t be a truly ‘Aussie’ experience without a snag in hand. So we’ve taken it upon ourselves to hunt down some of the local polling booths that can help you out with lunch while you vote!
