Four years after first knocking on Nordstrom’s door, Adelaide-born swimwear label Vacay Swimwear has landed a major deal with the iconic US retailer.
Only this time… Nordstrom came to them.
The milestone marks a big step in the international expansion of Vacay, which began as a men’s swimwear brand. Today, the label has evolved into a premium men’s and women’s swim and resortwear brand, with collections inspired by European summers, beach clubs and travel-fuelled fun.
Think afternoons poolside, long lunches by the coast and the kind of wardrobe designed to take you from the beach to drinks without missing a beat.
Co-founders Jordy Kallios and Corey DeCandia said the Nordstrom launch marked a milestone moment for Vacay, reflecting how far the brand had come since its early days.

“It was pretty surreal. Nordstrom has been on our radar for years, so seeing Vacay officially launch with such an iconic US retailer was a massive full-circle moment for us,” said Jordy.
“We started the brand here in Adelaide, so to now see Vacay sitting alongside global brands on a platform like Nordstrom is something we’re incredibly proud of.”
But the deal didn’t happen overnight.
Vacay first approached Nordstrom in around 2022, when the Adelaide business was still establishing itself internationally. Instead of completely losing faith in the idea, the team kept working towards their goal.
“We used it as motivation to continue strengthening the business, expanding our international footprint and investing heavily into the US market,” said Jordy.

Then, around six months ago, the tables turned.
As Vacay’s reach grew, its international profile continued to soar, picking up a little star power along the way, with celebrities including Mark Wahlberg and Sydney Sweeney spotted wearing the label.
“Seeing high-profile people choosing to wear Vacay is a strong validation of how far the brand has come,” Jordy said.
Rather than testing the waters with only a few staple pieces, Jordy said Nordstrom has taken their full collection. Vacay products are now appearing on Nordstrom’s online store, with the retailer currently listing a range of the label’s swimwear and resort pieces.
Corey said Vacay now sends thousands of orders each month to customers across Australia and overseas, with further international growth firmly on the agenda.
“International growth is a big focus for us, and we’re currently looking at opportunities in the Middle East, as well as continuing to explore the right retail partners in other key markets,” said Corey.
For the Adelaide-founded business, the Nordstrom deal is both a major international step and proof of how much can change in four years.
