The gallery showcases Mark’s distinctive and popular collection of large, colour-infused statement pieces. It is also home to Kevin Golding, Mark’s partner and one of the gallery’s Artists in Residence, including Leandra McKay, Alli Hill, Paul Mahoney, and Allan Griffin.

One week after the gallery’s grand opening on Friday, November 29th, Mark spoke with Glam Adelaide about this long-awaited event that saw over 100 hundred guests flow through the gallery, saying, “It was a wonderful night. Everybody was so embracing and respectful of the space we’ve created. We felt so much love being gifted upon us by everyone who was there, cheering us on.
“Even before we opened, the support and feedback we received from the locals was amazing. It’s an honour to bring our art into such a welcoming community.”
“I’m particularly grateful to Mark ‘Soda’ Soderstrom, who officially opened the gallery. We’re both passionate about art’s ability to raise funds and awareness for important causes, especially men’s mental health, an issue that’s close to Soda’s and my heart.”
Mark and Soda forged a friendship when they, and fellow artist Phil Hodgson, worked together on the Spirit of SA art exhibition, which raised $104,000 for the Childhood Cancer Association and have continued to support each other through friendship and community endeavours ever since.
Mark’s dedication to using his art for good can be seen in his continued efforts to raise funds for various charities over the years and in sharing his resources and time to create opportunities for other local artists.
