Crackle & Pop Records, who have graced South Aussies with their wide-ranging collection of new vinyl since 2014, are going coastal this Saturday 9 July with Aldinga’s beloved wine bar Fall From Grace in the ultimate combination of your three favourite things – dumplings, wine and vinyl.
The evening will be 4 hours of sipping on European-biased booze, skimming through vinyls and shovelling down dumplings and pastries all while tucked into Fall From Grace’s cosy courtyard where vinyl DJ Samantha (@fantasticwax) will be back again with her inclusive mix of rich and mellow tunes.
Fall From Grace’s plant-based neighbour Lucky Ducks will be serving up their hand rolled, fried dumplings all evening long. You won’t want to miss their winter staple shitake and tofu rice paper dumplings, drizzled with an addictively spicy chilli oil and topped with toasted sesame.
Fall From Grace will be pouring small local producers all afternoon including the Southern France Harrison Wine’s 2021 soothing Sol Blanco blend of Roussanne and Grenache Blanc grapes, riddled with tones of fresh pear, chamomile and warm apple pie. Mmm… sounds like winter in a bottle.
There’s also Ministry of Clouds’ Spanish Mencia, a medium bodied blend that is laced with sour cherry and pomegranate, infused with the earthiness of liquorice and crushed rocks, and brightened with notes of raspberry and blackcurrant.
The fireplace will be flickering from inside but if you want to relax under Aldinga’s seaside sky, they’ve got you covered with outdoor heating and lap rugs under the veranda and marquee areas. Don’t forget to rug up!
Walk-ins are welcome but if you plan on making an evening out of it, it’s best to book in advance.
