1837 Barossa is hosting a deluxe paint and sip evening at their iconic Lyndoch hill-top estate, with highly acclaimed artist Karen Nickels – known for working with a variety of methods and media and capturing the raw beauty of Australian landscapes – acting as teacher and expert for the ‘Paint a Barossa Sunset’ event later this month.
No strangers to hosting exclusive functions and wine and dine events, you’re in good hands with 1837 Barossa. With sweeping panoramic views of the Barossa, you can unleash your creativity as you sip local drops and watch the setting sun fade over the hills, while being coached by Nickels’ guiding hands and expertise.
The evening begins at 3:30pm on Thursday 25 June, where for two hours, guests are able to channel their inner artists and create magnificent Barossa sunsets – or other subjects, if they choose – with full creative freedom and a vibrant palette of acrylics, and full step-by-step guidance provided. No experience required, with beginners and seasoned professionals all welcome.

After creating their artistic masterpieces, guests are treated to a sit-down dinner at 1837 Barossa’s Mediterranean Cuisine and Grill Restaurant, where they can select a main of their choice, paired with either a glass of estate wine or a wine-tasting experience. The event includes the workshop, materials, main meal and wine, and there are only limited spaces available.
What better way to greet winter than with a glass of wine, an elevated paint and sip session, and dinner in the warmth and comfort of a classy restaurant with brilliant views of the Barossa? We can’t think of a better way to spend a Thursday evening.
