Jimmy Barnes postpones Flesh and Blood tour dates

The July shows at the Thebarton Theatre have now been rescheduled to the 11th and 12th of September, with tickets still available for the Sunday night show.

Aussie music legend Jimmy Barnes had already sold out one of his two nights in Adelaide for his upcoming Flesh and Blood tour, which was to see the iconic musician travelling across the country performing his greatest hits.

The two Adelaide Shows are playing at the Thebarton Theatre and were previously scheduled for the 16th and 17th of July.

Now to be held on Saturday 11th and Sunday 12th of September, with the Saturday show already sold out to eager fans, any patrons unable to attend the new show dates can obtain a full refund with refund requests must be submitted prior to Friday 30 July.

Due to the uncertainty of the latest influx of border restrictions around the country and the current COVID outbreaks Jimmy’s tour will now kick off in Queensland on Thursday 2 September at Brisbane’s Convention & Exhibition Centre, closing in Perth at the Riverside Theatre on 22 September.

Currently in lockdown, Jimmy and wife Jane also gave fans a special treat over the weekend with a special livestream concert from home, where the duo performed songs from Jimmy’s new album and covers of much-loved favourites like Bette Midler’s The Rose.

Speaking about the new dates, Jimmy was eager to put on the best show possible for his fans.

“I would rather be on stage than nearly anywhere else in the world, but I would never want to endanger any of our Australian music fans. So due to COVID, I have had to reschedule my shows. I didn’t want to postpone and postpone, week after week, so we’ve moved the shows back by a month or so.

I hope we get on top of this by then and we can all celebrate live music together again” he says.

For fans eager to get their fix of Barnes-fever ahead of September, the Flesh and Blood album is out now and is available to purchase here.
