One of our distillers ‘Doogie’ was a baker for 25 years before becoming a distiller at Kangaroo Island Spirits. He has combined an old family Christmas pudding recipe with his distilling expertise to create a mouth-watering limited edition festive gin.

First Harvest Juniper Gin
Back in 2006, the original founders of Australia’s first dedicated gin distillery had the foresight to plant a number of common juniper bushes (juniperus communis). The young saplings took to Kangaroo Island’s nutrient rich soil immediately, flourishing in our climate.
Now fully mature, our juniper trees allow us the ability to produce the world’s first gin created with 100% Australian grown, single origin juniper. “We’ve achieved the rare distinction of having a local supply of juniper, allowing us to create a gin that embodies true Kangaroo Island spirit,” Morrow says.

They can explore the extensive range of traditional and native botanical distillates that they can select from to create their very own 200 ml bottle of gin that they’ll be able to take home to enjoy, as well as a 50ml sample so that they can enjoy the fruits of their labour immediately in a refreshing G&T.
