On Friday August 29th, Kosmea will join thousands of Australian women in going make up free to make a stand for positive self-image and raise funds for a worthy cause. This year, MakeupFree Me aims to raise $250,000 for the Butterfly Foundation, with 100% of funds raised going to combat negative body image and support those affected by eating disorders.
Kosmea CEO and founder, Marie Jenkins says “Kosmea are proud to have a very active contribution to charity, including our ongoing efforts in Lethoso, South Africa, where we support communities by providing an income to local residents who harvest our rose hips. Closer to home, we are delighted to support Makeup Free Me’s efforts and the importance of addressing body image issues in helping women and girls to ultimately develop a positive self-image. We’re extremely proud to help support this important cause.”
As a fun raising partner for the 2014 Makeup Free Me movement, Kosmea will donate 5% of all 10ml and 20ml Certified Organic Rose Hip Oil website sales throughout the entire campaign period to Makeup Free Me. Kosmea will also be providing their all-natural, eco-friendly Facial Cleansing Wipes to assist and encourage participating ambassadors in going make up free on August 29th.
The aim of going makeup free on Friday 29th August 2014, is to acknowledge the unrealistic body image expectations that women put on themselves, each other and that is absorbed from the media and social media on a daily basis. It’s about keeping it real, taking the pressure off and helping women and girls become comfortable in their own skin, inside and out, with or without makeup. The movement is a champion for del-confidence, vitality and empowerment as key contributors to an overall positive self-image.
