Negroni masterclass & “messy” pasta party coming to Anna’s Bar

Bible house-turned-cocktail-bar Anna’s is hosting a pasta dinner and negroni masterclass alongside Heaps Good Gin and events company DiscoCrew.

This upcoming event has us praying there will be tickets left so we can go!

Get ready for Italian eats and South Australian gin: Bible house-turned-cocktail-bar Anna’s is hosting a pasta dinner and negroni masterclass alongside Heaps Good Gin and events company DiscoCrew on Friday, August 13.

The first event for the new dinner club series, which has its own name: Club Di Pasta, promises Italian snacks, pasta, and gin shared across a long table. Guests will get “messy” as they stuff their faces with Italian carb-loaded eats, and they will get informed as the local gin company instructs guests on how to make quality negronis.

Alexandra Cannizzaro, who owns both Anna’s Bar and DiscoCrew, explains the concept of Anna’s offshoot, Club Di Pasta.

“It’s not a restaurant – it’s an experience,” she says.

“We include our Club Di Pasta night with a wine or gin producer, so while everyone is having a messy Italian dinner, our producers will [showcase] their product, offering tastings [and teaching] why SA is so bloody good.”

The pasta nights are new additions to Anna’s Bar, which is most known for its LGBTQIA+ pride, its Bible house decor, and its fun cocktails––which include “forgive me, RuPaul” with Galliano and orange juice and the “sexx worker” with gin and lemon.

With maroon leather booths, pink neon signs in the shape of crosses, and a dance floor with DJs when COVID allows, Anna’s is a fun place to get boozy, and Club Di Pasta offers another opportunity to do so.

There are more Club Di Pasta events to come, and to experience the first with negronis and Heaps Good Gin, be sure to book ahead for August 13.
