Nominations Have Opened For The 2019 South Australian Music Awards

Nominate your favourite contemporary musical artist this year for the South Australian Music Awards.

Nominations are currently open for the 2019 South Australian Music Awards, due to present Friday 22 November at Bonython Hall, Adelaide University.

This year’s nominations close Monday 2 September at 5pm, so get in quick to nominate your favourite artist here.

The ceremony is considered a “night of nights” to celebrate South Australian contemporary musicians, and is honoured each year in November.

Categories include Best New Artist, Best Group and Best Music Venue, with multiple other awards available for nomination.

Last year, A Day of Clarity won for Best Music Festival/ Event, The Crown and Anchor Hotel won Best Music Venue and Adrian Eagle won the Best New Artist category.

There is also a variety of industry awards where you can nominate recipients for Best Music Studio, Best Manager and even for Best Cover Art. Check out the nomination page for full categories.

This year, there is two new awards which include Best Studio Engineer and Best Live Engineer; so there’s lots of options for nomination this coming November.

There’s also a People’s Choice Award with another array of categories for your potential recipient to win.

To be applicable, the recipient must have released music between 13 August 2018 to 31 July 2019 and promoted as a South Australian artist or group.
