Making a triumphant return in 2021, Polo in the City, the event that ‘brings polo to the people’, is back this summer, coming to Adelaide on 10 December.
Promising horses, glamour and of course champagne, the event will be attempting to top their record year in 2019 when it hosted crowd favourite Nano Gracida who travelled for the event all the way from Hawaii.
Victoria Park will play host to the event which is part of the world’s largest polo series, and will provide acclaimed hospitality packages for guests, while Australia’s top polo stars clash in vigorous competition for a chance to lift the prestigious UPA trophy.
Urban Polo has adjusted the traditional sport to bring polo into the 21st century and ensure a more spectator-friendly atmosphere. Providing a variation of polo that’s just as exciting to watch as it is to play, the Urban Polo game features a significantly smaller field, bringing spectators right into the heart of the action.
A consistent nominee in the Australian Event Awards ‘Best Event’ category, Polo in the City has a number of hospitality ticket packages to suit every budget, with tickets to the Polo Lounge setting guests back $83pp, and guaranteeing event entry, access to the day’s iconic activities such as the Divot Stamp, The Dash and Fashion on the Field and a premium view of the Polo.
For those looking for a slightly more boujee option to really make a day of it, the Polo Club acts as the mid way point package between the ‘invite only’ VIP Marquee and the public Polo Lounge. Ticket holders for the Polo Club are able to mingle with the polo players, participate in Fashion on the Field and groove to the tunes of the resident DJ. Enjoy a canapé style lunch, and keep refreshed on a selection of wines and beers under the shaded service bar complete with umbrellas and communal seating. The Polo Club will set guests back $246pp.
Polo in the City is one of seven annual events hosted by Urban Polo including the equally popular Polo by the Sea, making a long-awaited return after a COVID-induced 2020 hiatus.
