Discover rare indoor & outdoor plants and view stylish water features, pots and furniture at the Bottle Tree Cafe, Garden and Aquarium Centre in Kilburn.

You can’t help but feel completely at peace when you wander through the treasure trove that is the Bottle Tree Cafe, Garden and Aquarium Centre. All your worries will melt away as you soak up the lush ambience and decor inspired by the delights of Asia.

Bottle Tree Cafe, Garden and Aquarium Centre in Kilburn is a place to come and be inspired, to discover rare indoor and outdoor plants and to view beautiful stylish water features, pots and furniture. It is also a landing place for relaxation.

Owners Dennis and Meekee Teo opened the business in October last year and have since travelled regularly overseas to source quality, diverse products.

From Bali huts, pots, plants, water features to outdoor decor, the couple also offers a cafe within the centre where you can indulge in an array of Asian and European-inspired menu options.

“We wanted to create a space and an environment where people could come and relax, have a cup of coffee, something to eat and browse through our garden and aquarium centre,” says Meekee.

“We source our products both locally and from foreign countries like Indonesia, China, and Vietnam. We bring in new products every three months, hence, there will always be a unique décor piece that is the most covetable pick.

“I am passionate about offering the latest in the industry, frequently travelling overseas going to exhibitions and sourcing new products.

“We also ensure this is reflected in our cafe menu too, with dishes changing with each season.”

Coffee on pour is a boutique blend from Adelaide based roasters Patio. It goes down a treat with the cafe’s wide selection of sweet and savoury cakes and desserts, sandwiches, quiches, spring rolls, sushi, pies and more.

There are plenty of seating options in the cafe and outside, with many visitors choosing to enjoy afternoon tea in a Bali Hut or under one of the centre’s many umbrellas dotted throughout the garden.

“We are heavily focused on our coffee and our menu changes with the seasons to give our visitors great variety,” says Meekee.

“We offer all the usual cafe options but have signature dishes we serve up from Thursday to Sunday such as Singapore curry and crispy roti prata.

“We wanted our menu to give our patrons the chance to be adventurous if they want to try something different and for it to compliment the garden too”.

What’s good to know is that the cafe is family-friendly and often attracts families with their children to its aquarium and goldfish garden, a delight for all ages. Many leave with their own goldfish as the centre stocks a large range of water features and aquarium products.

Everywhere you look, there is bound to be something to catch your eye.
