Retro diner Dirty Doris open in the Adelaide Hills

Slinging reuban sandwiches, burgers, steaks and fried chicken, Dirty Doris is the retro-themed hills diner you’ve been waiting for!

Reuben sandwiches, burgers, steaks and fried chicken? Yes, please! Dirty Doris is the retro-themed Hills diner you’ve been waiting for!

Positioned opposite the Aldgate Pump Hotel, Dirty Doris has opened its doors to foodies in need of that nostalgic, old school diner feed with an array of offerings to tame even the biggest of hungers. Their all-day menu presents a variety of retro-style options, like their corned-beef hash, cheeseburger, and rump steak, all available from brekky onwards!

Former Low & Slow chef Denny Bradden has put her signature twist on the menu, with not just delicious eats on the list. Alcoholic beverages such as their Negroni float, gin slushy and strawberry grapefruit mimosa wash down your meal nicely, with the cafe being described as a cocktail bar where you can get breakfast!

Retro furniture, a timber bar and checkered black and white flooring adorn the cafe to promote that nostalgic, back to the ‘good ole days’ feel. Leather-look red bar stools offer up a spot to sit right by the barista for a drink and a chat as if you were on the set from Happy Days.

As with many new cafes, they’re still working around their initial teething issues, however if you want to check them out, get along during the week when they’re not as busy to ensure a more enjoyable experience.

Open daily from 6.30am to 3pm, You can find Dirty Doris at 6 Strathalbyn Road, Aldgate SA.
