Over the last eighteen months, Adelaide singer-songwriter Sasha March has played a constant string of shows across Australia both solo and with her band, taking in venues across South Australia, Sydney, Melbourne, country New South Wales and Victoria.
Recent highlights include slots at the Gorgeous Festival, the Semaphore Music Festival and the Fleurieu Folk Festival on the line up with acts including Xavier Rudd, The Waifs and The Beautiful Girls.
Sasha is currently working with renowned songwriter and producer Ken Stringfellow (The Posies, R.E.M, Big Star, Death Cab for Cutie), after discovering a creative chemistry playing a show together in Adelaide at the Grace Emily Hotel in January, 2014.
Sasha’s dedication is best illustrated by her back-to-back gigs last October when she performed at the main stage at the Semaphore Music Festival, and straight after settled in for a 14 hour drive to compete in the Telstra Road to Discovery in Narooma NSW.
With her passion, determination effortless charisma and soulful voice, Sasha gathers fans wherever she travels and stands out as one of hardest working independent musicians in Adelaide.
Drawing comparisons to PJ Harvey (from no less than Ken Stringfellow), while acknowledging influences including Jeff Buckley, Ani DiFranco, Janis Joplin, Ben Harper and Joni Mitchell.
Sasha has already received rave reviews for her 2014 self-titled EP, described by Music SA as “something truly special”.
Sasha’s career is set to soar to new heights with the imminent recording of her debut Album, which is now being pre-sold to her fans and supporters via a crowdfunding campaign.
The independent artist is in the final days of her online campaign. Sasha explains, “In addition to utilising Pozible to effectively pre-sell my Album, there are some other rewards, such as Secret Shows and a Wine Tour that are still available.”
One of the Pozible rewards offers tickets to a private show that will be broadcast live to air on Three D Radio on Saturday June 13.
