Salisbury Fringe Carnival to take centre stage this February

The Salisbury Fringe Carnival is returning once again for 2024 what promises to be bigger and better than ever! See what’s in store here.

The City of Salisbury’s largest event, Salisbury Fringe Carnival, is returning bigger and better than ever before later this month, with two days jam-packed with non-stop fun!

After finding a new home at Carisbrooke Park, the Salisbury Fringe Carnival is set to bring the park alive with a range of entertainment, rides and activities for all ages.

“Salisbury Fringe Carnival is one of my favourite events of the year in the City of Salisbury. We have made every effort to ensure it is spectacular, and I can’t wait to see the community enjoying it,” said Mayor Gillian Aldridge OAM.

The carnival is a go-to for many families in Adelaide across the last decade, attracting over 12,000 attendees in 2023.

All the fun kicks off from 6pm Friday, February 23rd making it the perfect destination for end of week knock offs with the kids! But if Friday doesn’t work with your schedule, don’t stress! All the fun can still be had from 12pm Saturday with the event set to go well into the night!

Mahalia Barnes will headline the Saturday night, taking centre stage alongside The Soul Mates. Renowned illusionist Matt Tarrant will headline on the Friday, and the entertainment doesn’t stop there. The Salisbury Fringe Carnival promises a range of other musical acts and dazzling circus performers. Stuntmen, fire twirlers and even stilt walkers will keep you wanting more.

The festival will also boast 5 amazing carnival rides along with a wide range of activities that are free for all. Whether you want to try your luck at dodgem cars, take in the sunset on the Ferris Wheel, or jump until your hearts contents on the jumping castle, there will be a ride for everybody.

This year’s event will also see the introduction of the Rastelli Tent, which will host a range of impressive live circus acts across both action-packed days.

If you’re looking to boogie, there will be an adult’s silent disco in the evening, and one for the kid’s a little earlier, with kid’s sensory vests available.

Once you’re worn out from all the exciting activities, the SA Water Quench Bench will be set up so you and your family can stay hydrated with plenty of food and drink also on offer. From Italian cuisine to seafood delight to the classic carnival style food with fairy floss, doughnuts and a whole lot more! There will also be space for you to pack your own picnic to enjoy under the stars.
