San Remo has jumped on the health and wellness trend.

Launching a new high protein pasta, the South Australian producer is catering for all dietary requirements, making pasta enjoyable for all.

Coined as San Remo’s ‘Performance Range’, Fibre Fest and Protein Pro have taken out the Product of The Year award in the Pasta and Rice Category 2021.

The world’s largest consumer-voted awards for product innovation has recognised San Remo for taking Australian’s nutrition to the next level.

Both the Pasta Pro and Fibre Fest products have been engineered to meet Australia’s demand for a broader set of nutritious meal options, while still delivering on the same quality taste San Remo is known for.

San Remo is a 100% Australian family-owned business that has been making pasta locally in Adelaide since 1936.

San Remo is proud to be the longstanding number one dry pasta brand in Australia.

San Remo Pasta Pro is vegan friendly and offers the same protein as 125g of cooked chicken breast and with 25% fewer carbs than regular pasta.

San Remo Fibre Fest is the very first pasta in Australia to include prebiotic fibre into the ingredient and packs 2x more fibre than regular pasta and 25% fewer carbs.

Chief Marketing Officer, James Askham-Levy, says this win further recognises San Remo’s commitment to ensuring all Australian’s can enjoy quality pasta whatever their dietary requirements.

One Aussie who has reaped the benefits of San Remo Pasta Pro is Rio Olympic gold medallist swimmer and San Remo Ambassador Kyle Chalmers, who has recently returned from a successful Tokyo 2020 campaign with three medals.

Chalmers says he was thrilled when San Remo announced they were launching a protein pasta.

“Pasta is a big part of my pre-race routine to help me perform to the best of my ability,” he said.

“Having the protein reserves in my body helps with keeping the energy levels up during training and competing.”

Thanks to San Remo’s new performance range all Australians can now enjoy the delicious pasta we all know and love while treating our bodies to added nutrients.

San Remo’s Performance Pasta range, San Remo Pasta Pro and Fibre Fest, is available at Coles and Independent Supermarkets nationwide for RRP$4.20 (250 grams).
