Melbourne Cup only comes around once a year, so when it does we like to have a really, really good time.
And this year, Signature Wines will be be opening their doors for punters and guests to come in and enjoy the Melbourne Cup in style — for the very first time!
Kate Freebairn will be the host for the day, with music by Tom Kurzel, fashion by ORTC, plus sweeps, big screens, and a four hour drinks package!
Oh — and did we mention the geniuses from Peel Street Restaurant are catering?
You heard right! It may be their first time ever doing catering off site, but if their usual creations are anything to go by, we’re expecting very delicious things from Peel Street Restaurant.
The menu features heavy hitters like banana blossom, chilli jam, and shredded chicken salads, pancetta wrapped SA King Prawns, as well as gin and citrus cured ocean trout gravlax on sourdough — and that’s not the end of it (but we’ll leave the rest up to your imagination).
You can also expect a number of delightful Signature Wines’ stars, including their Shiraz, Tempranillo, Tempinot, Sauvignon Blanc, plus Pink Moscato, Sparkling, and Chardonnay Pinot Noir. Those of you less wine-inclined can snap up some Ginscato or Peroni as well.
There will also be a wine wall and silent auction, with proceeds supporting the Adelaide Women’s & Children’s Hospital, so you can indulge and give back at the same time. Balance is everything.
