South Australia – The Festival State. Yep, that’s what it says on our number plates, and we always knew that it was fact. Well now it has been recognised at the 2015 Australian Event Awards held at Doltone House Jones Bay Wharf in Sydney Tuesday night.
The Ceremony, hosted by Catriona Rowntree, saw 23 Event Awards presented throughout the night and our great state was declared Australia’s best region for events for the first time, taking home the 2015 State or Territory Award.
We bought home a few other National Awards including Coates Hire Best Community Event for Adelaide Writers’ Week and the EVENTelec Best Cultural, Arts or Music Event for WOMADelaide 2015.
State winners included:
Best Sporting Event – Santos Tour Down Under 2015
Best Tourism Event – Santos Tour Down Under 2015
Best Charity or Cause-Related Event – SA Hiking Challenge, The Jodi Lee Foundation
CIM Magazine Best Meeting or Conference – Frontliners Forum 2014, helloworld
Doltone House Best Corporate Event – Toyota Oh What A Feeling! Live, George P. Johnson
Best Regional Event – SA Hiking Challenge, The Jodi Lee Foundation
What a massive achievement for our state! But like we said, we always knew that our number plates were stating the obvious! A big congratulations to all the State winners.
