As South Australians, we know how fortunate we are. We have pristine beaches that are inhabited by an array of colourful, interesting and unique marine life.
If you love the ocean and are heading to, or already on Eyre or Yorke Peninsula in the coming weeks, you’re in luck.
Experiencing Marine Sanctuaries (EMS), in association with the National Parks and Wildlife Service of South Australia, Inspiring SA and Whyalla City will be in the area conducting guided snorkel tours across both peninsulas this January.
These 90-minute events, hosted by professional event leaders and accredited snorkel guides are the perfect way to see and learn about the local marine life. You’ll be able to get up close and cosy with leafy sea dragons, lobsters, and beautiful eagle rays. With vibrantly coloured fish, plants and algae these local snorkel hotspots are hard to resist.
Tickets starting from $39 includes wetsuits, and all equipment required to undertake this wonderful marine experience. Ages 5 and above are welcome – so long as you can swim!
