SA Health has confirmed three measles cases in South Australian teenagers linked to a case reported last week. It has named several locations the teenagers visited while infectious and says people there at the listed times may have been exposed.
Exposure locations and times:
- Kmart Westfield Marion, 297 Diagonal and Sturt Roads, Oaklands Park — Friday 18 September, 1:30pm–6pm; Monday 21 September, 3:15pm–7pm.
- Morphett Vale Stadium, Sports Park Drive, Morphett Vale — Saturday 19 September, 2:40pm–5pm.
- Brighton Secondary School, 305 Brighton Road, North Brighton — Friday 18 September, 9am–3pm.
- El Mexicano Restaurant, 144A King William Road, Hyde Park — Thursday 17 September, 6:30pm–9pm.
- St Louis café, 185 King William Road, Hyde Park — Thursday 17 September, 8:30pm–9:30pm.
- Costco Wholesale Adelaide, 404–406 Churchill Road, Kilburn — Thursday 17 September, 1:30pm–3:15pm.
- Costco Petrol Station, 404–406 Churchill Road, Kilburn — Thursday 17 September, 2:45pm–3:35pm.

People who are not fully immunised and were at these locations during the specified times should watch for symptoms over the next few weeks. Measles symptoms begin with a fever, cough, runny nose and sore eyes, followed by a blotchy rash that usually starts on the head and spreads down the body.
Anyone who suspects they have measles should phone their doctor before visiting and explain their symptoms, so precautions can be taken to prevent the infection spreading.
SA Health states this brings the total of measles cases notified in South Australia to eight this year. Seven cases were recorded across all of 2025. Two doses of measles vaccine provide the best protection, and SA Health encourages people to check their vaccination records.
