‘Two Little Dickheads’ combines comedy, musical nonsense and unhinged energy at Fringe

Your award-winning and favourite Aussie dickhead duo are back with their new show ‘Two Little Dickheads: Slot Fillers’ at this year’s Fringe.

Adelaide Fringe is gearing up for a hilarious spectacle with the return of the beloved Aussie dickhead duo in their latest show ‘Two Little Dickheads: Slot Fillers’, playing at the Migration Museum.

Known for their quirky blend of comedy, Sharnema and Dave, the inseparable, pyjama-wearing, cat-obsessed duo, are promising an entertainment experience filled with unhinged sketches, silly dancing, stupid puppets, and surprisingly good singing.

Audiences can expect 55 minutes of ‘clowntastic, musical nonsense’, delivered with what has been described as ‘A strong dash of silly, a sprinkling of magic, and a small slice of chaos’, by Weekend Notes.

The show’s hilarious duo work themselves into a tizzy, deconstructing the power of love through lo-fi indie rock vibes complete with an electric ukulele and a setlist that includes uniquely titled songs like ‘I Don’t Wanna Have A Baby’, ‘Hot Wet Mess’ and ‘Fanta of the Opera’, along with a lot of interactive improv with the audience members—so come prepared!

Sharnema is an award-winning performer who won the Inspiration Award at the Prague Fringe in 2014 and Best Comedy Award Winning Director at Perth Fringe in 2018, and Dave, a regular on the LA improv scene, published author and, most notably, the runner-up for Melbournes Best Dad Bod in 2019 (woo hoo!).

The duo have crafted a show that deconstructs the power of love through their unique lens, with Laura Trenerry of the Travelling Sisters, a multi-award-winning comedy troupe, directing this unique spectacle.

Sharnema and Dave’s journey, from a chance meeting in a Sydney garage to training with French clown master Philippe Gaulier, has resulted in a performance style and show that Fest Mag remarks, ‘You’d have to be a real dickhead to not love this show.’

The show (M rating) is a perfect fit for anyone who enjoys a mix of absurdity, humour, and music, all wrapped in a package of delightful chaos, with Squirrel Comedy describing it as ‘a full smorgasbord of unpretentious fun…an eclectic delight.

The Adelaide Fringe show ‘Two Little Dickheads: Slot Fillers’ is a celebration of the extraordinary in the ordinary and a testament to the creative and unorthodox spirit of the Fringe. For those looking for an unforgettable Fringe experience that blends comedy, music, and a touch of the bizarre, the ‘Two Little Dickheads: Slot Filler’ show is one that shouldn’t be missed.

As the duo says, ‘Prepare to have your slot filled’ with one hour of pure, exhilarating fun!
