VALO Adelaide 500 Supercar drivers to descend in Rundle Mall for fan meet and greet

South Australian rev heads will have the chance to interact with their favourite drivers today at 12pm.

The iconic driver signing session at Rundle Mall is back for the first time since 2015 for the VALO Adelaide 500, with all Supercars drivers on-site at the mall to meet fans ahead of the event.

South Australian rev heads will have the chance to interact with their favourite drivers today at 12pm.

The 2023 Supercars Championship season will consist of 12 rounds, starting in Newcastle and finishing on the streets of Adelaide, where the Supercars season champion will be crowned.

South Australia will also host the OTR SuperSprint from 18-20 August at The Bend Motorsport Park near Tailem Bend.

The 2023 season will be the first Gen3 Ford Mustang vs Chevrolet Camaro season, with this year’s VALO Adelaide 500 set to serve as a spectacular finale for the Holden Commodore and Ford Mustang rivalry.

Motor Sport Board Chief Executive Mark Warren said “The 2022 VALO Adelaide 500 is shaping up to be bigger and better than ever and one week out from the event, we are pumped to give fans a date to look forward to in 2023.

“As we farewell the Holden marque next week, we look forward to ushering in a new era of Supercars on the streets of Adelaide next year.

“While our attention is on the task at hand, planning for 2023 is already underway with a host of exciting announcements to come,” Warren continued.

Ticket sales for this year’s event are going strong, with more than 250,000 people expected to attend the track over the four days from 1-4 December.

Peter Malinauskas said “We’re thrilled to have the VALO Adelaide 500 back as the Supercars season finale.

“This year’s race is already shaping as a huge drawcard, delivering important economic benefits to our state.

“Spreading out the events calendar and hosting the Adelaide 500 in the pre-Christmas period provides greater opportunity for local hotels, pubs, restaurants, and other businesses to enjoy the economic benefits.

“With two Supercar rounds next year, South Australia is again at the heart of Motorsport,” Malinauskas continued.
