Winter nights in Adelaide are getting a whole lot more fun this July, with Vardon Avenue transforming into a cosy East End escape as part of Illuminate Adelaide’s winter program.
The popular dining precinct will host a winter street party every Friday and Saturday night until July 18th, from 5pm to 11pm, inviting locals to come together and enjoy the magic of Illuminate alongside the best of the city’s hospitality scene.
The winter celebration will bring together some of Vardon Avenue’s favourite venues, including East End Cellars, Mother Vine, Enoteca and El Cheeky Flamingo, with support from event sponsor CW Wines.
Guests can expect Reschke wines on pour throughout the evening. As one of Adelaide’s most loved and packed streets in the summertime, as it comes back to life in the winter, it will be the perfect place to catch up with friends, enjoy some great food, an Aperol spritz or two and soak up the atmosphere.
One of the hosts, East End Cellars, has become a favourite of Adelaide’s wine culture, known for championing small producers and showcasing some of South Australia’s most exciting wines.
Built on a passion for quality over quantity, the independent wine retailer has developed a reputation for discovering unique bottles from producers who focus on craftsmanship, character and authenticity. The Vardon Avenue winter street party continues that philosophy, bringing together local hospitality venues and producers.
Mother Vine continues its reputation as one of Adelaide’s go-to wine bars, offering an extensive wine list, shared plates, wine flights and regular events including jazz sessions and wine dinners.
Italian-inspired restaurant Enoteca Lounge & Cucina will also join the celebration, offering guests the chance to settle into its warm dining space for seasonal dishes, quality local produce and a wine-focused experience built around the joy of sharing.
El Cheeky Flamingo will add to the fun, with its vibrant Miami-inspired energy, colourful cocktails, tropical vibes and easy food menu adding a playful touch to the winter festivities.
