As part of Adelaide Fashion Week, Rundle Place is set to host an intimate styling session with one of Adelaide’s most recognisable fashion names, Mirella Romano.
With just 50 tickets available, the 30-minute session will see models walk through the audience in looks Mirella has sourced from Rundle Place retailers, while she explains why each outfit works and how individual pieces can be styled in different ways.
Mirella has long been part of Adelaide’s fashion scene, having previously worked as the fashion stylist for the Sunday Mail for 18 years and built a career around fashion, styling and editorial.
After 18 years as the Sunday Mail’s fashion editor, Mirella is now a sought-after freelance fashion consultant, having styled some of Australia’s biggest names, including Miranda Kerr, Megan Gale and former Prime Minister, Julia Gillard.
At the styling session, rather than simply watching from the sidelines, guests will be able to get involved after the presentation, with Mirella moving through the crowd for an informal Q&A and the chance to chat about styling and the looks showcased during the session.
The event is designed to feel more like an intimate fashion experience than a traditional sit-down talk, with guests encouraged to stick around, explore the centre and discover some of the retailers featured throughout the presentation.
And there will be plenty more happening around the styling session. Every ticket holder will receive a $20 Rundle Place gift card on arrival, which can be put towards a purchase anywhere across the centre.
There will also be a sweet treat on offer, with C9 Gelato and Chocolate set to bring its full range to the activation, including a special safron flavour created to celebrate Rundle Mall’s 50th birthday.
Guests will also be able to enjoy a mirrored photo booth, sound and an unusual interactive element from Shepherd Events.
The styling session will also showcase just how much of the season’s fashion can be found under one roof, with Mirella selecting pieces from the centre’s retailers, including Kookaï, Nude Lucy, Seed Heritage, By Charlotte, Witchery and more, demonstrating how they can be worn and styled.
With limited tickets available, the session is expected to offer a more personal experience than a large-scale fashion presentation, with plenty of opportunities to interact with Mirella before and after her styling showcase.
It also comes as Adelaide’s fashion calendar begins to ramp up, making it a timely chance to take some inspiration into the new season.
Tickets are $10 and include entry to the styling session, the $20 Rundle Place gift card and access to the surrounding activation.
