Adelaide, start your engines.
Because Brazil’s reigning Season 2 Drag Race superstar, Ruby Nox will be joined by Poseidon Drag and Paola Hoffmann Van Cartier, as they head to Adelaide for a one-night only show.
Each queen is set to serve their charisma, uniqueness, nerve and talent in individual and group numbers throughout the night. So, you had better sissy that walk to the Rhino Room on Thursday, 17 September for their very first Australian tour.
You can expect fierce performances, fashion realness and the infectious Brazilian energy that has made these queens fan favourites around the world.
Behind the Australian tour is Adelaide-based Brazilian drag performer, Donatella Valentino, who will produce, present and host the extravaganza. The award-winning entertainer, with more than a decade of experience in drag, created the tour to bring leading Brazilian performers to Australian audiences and showcase the country’s drag culture on a local stage.
“Because I’m based here, I thought, ‘why not Adelaide?’ Adelaide has given me so much, and I want to give something back to the community,” Donatella said.
“We’re doing Adelaide, Melbourne and then Sydney.
“I don’t have enough words to say how excited they are.”
The Adelaide show will give Australian fans their first opportunity to see the three Drag Race Brazil performers together live, following their international appearances across Europe, North America and Mexico. Ruby enters the tour as Brazil’s reigning Drag Race winner and became known throughout the competition for her sickening combination of burlesque, theatre and performance art.
VIP ticket holders will be able to enter the venue an hour before show time for a meet-and-greet with Ruby, Poseidon and Paola. The package includes photo opportunities, first access to merchandise (subject to availability) and a chance to chat and spill the tea with the queens.
The main show will run from 8pm to 11pm, with both seating and standing areas available on a first-come, first-served basis. The event is strictly for audiences aged 18 and over.
Early-bird general admission tickets are currently $38.50 plus booking fees, while early-bird VIP meet-and-greet tickets are $82.50 plus fees. Tickets are selling fast, so get in quickly before the queens sashay away.
