Camping music festival, Chilled Out ‘n’ Fired Up, set to return to Caltowie

Chilled Out ‘n’ Fired Up is bringing camping in the fields, local brewers, stretches of food trucks and live tunes from some of the best Australian artists.

It’s time to dig out your music festival gear.

Chilled Out ‘n’ Fired Up is taking over the rural town of Caltowie on Saturday March 26 for an epic day of live music that we know you’ve seriously been missing.

Think camping in the fields, local brewers pouring, stretches of food trucks and 12 hours of live tunes from some of the best Australian artists.

It’s a one-of-a-kind festival that welcomes you to let loose, chill out in the great open plain and fire up your dance moves (if restrictions allow this) that have been on hold for so long.

Headlining the festival is Melbourne’s four-piece alternative rock band Kingswood and Gold Coast’s high octane punk band The Delta Riggs. They’ll be playing to a vibing crowd of 1,000 good time goers and soundtracking the fun.

“We couldn’t be more pumped to get out into beautiful regional SA and play this festival with our good buddies the mighty Delta Riggs,” Kingswood said in a statement.

“It’s been a long wait but we are back bigger and better than ever. We can’t wait to bring our show into town and shake it out!”

The lineup also includes South Australia’s soul blues band Zkye Blue and artist Kelly Brouhaha, along with alternative rock bands Critical Limit and Feed the Fire.

They will be joined by Half Chewed Pickle from Port Pirie and Adelaide rockers Sycamore as well as Two and a Half Men and Clover.

If the weather permits, punters will be able to check out two huge bonfires on the day heating up the fiery sets even more.

If you thought the festival couldn’t get better, the primary goal of the event is to raise funds for mental health initiatives within regional South Australia whilst promoting awareness for mental health and wellbeing.

It’s a feel-good day with a focus on feeling even better.

Festival goers will be able to camp at the event for free, making the trip to rural SA super easy and convenient without the worry of how to head home.

The inaugural festival kicked off in 2019 with a limited release sell-out. The event was highly praised with word of mouth seeing it grow to 900 festival goers descending on the rural town of Caltowie in 2021.

Each year, it has continued to be bigger and better than before, and the 2022 event is set to be no different.

The event is operating under a COVID Safe Plan. This means it is currently restricted to a capacity of 1,000 people.  If capacity, changes however, further limited tickets will be made available.

The event organisers stated that at this stage, they do not know if dancing will be possible, however they are hopeful.

Chilled Out ‘n’ Fired Up will take place on Saturday March 26, 2022 at Memorial Oval, Caltowie SA.
