Following the success of The Enchanted Fig Tree and The FEAST in Kangaroo Island, Gastronomo Dining are planning to launch another otherworldly dining experience this July.
The next instalment has been teased by the talented Gastronomo Director, Nick Hannaford, who states that the new experience will feature the “very best” of Kangaroo Island, and South Australian wines and produce.
“It will be predominantly a lunch experience based around the senses, with an element of interaction,” said Nick.
“Elements of the event will be inspired by the old fashioned dinner party. A bit like sharing a meal or a multicourse banquet at home with a group of friends.
“Gastronomo Dining events have that ‘storytelling’ element as well that ties back to different styles of cooking around coals and flames – like time travelling element with food and cuisine.”
While not defined as a degustation, the intimate “storytelling” dining experience will have a limited capacity and feature multiple interactive tasting courses.
Grastronomo has a reputation of hosting incredible limited-time-only dining experiences in the Wilderness, including lunch under the canopy for a 130-year-old fig tree.
Without giving too much away, you can see from Gastronomo’s latest Instagram reel that the venue will be stunning heritage building, styled with tree-branch door handles, wooden finishes and old tin walls.
The intimate location will serve the finest Kangaroo Island has to offer on exposed coals and flames, keeping the room warm and cosy as you sip of a glass of bubbles.
Seafood appears to be a leading feature, with fresh oysters and lobster, garnished with house made sauces, lemon rind and fresh SA produce.
Further information will be revealed in coming weeks, with tickets coming on sale in the last two weeks of July.
