Drink Negroni, Donate To Charity. Simple!

Negroni Week is adding a charitable element to at venues across Adelaide from June 6th to 12th. Find out where to visit!

The classic apéritif; one part gin, one part vermouth rosso, and one part Campari, garnished with orange peel. Stir into a glass over ice, garnish and serve. That, ladies and gentlemen, is a Negorni.

And there’s a whole week celebrating this humble red number running from June 6th – 12th, but rather than just being another random week encouraging you to drink something different there is a very important charitable element to 2016. Campari, in partnership with ultimate drinks magazine, Imbibe, have partnered in a charity initiative to raise money for local causes, chosen by on and off-trade supporters. Last year, over 3,500 bars and restaurants within 44 countries participated internationally, and this year looks set to be bigger.

The short is, for every Negroni sold at participating bars across Australia, a minimum of AUD $1 will be donated. So who in Adelaide is supporting the cause and where are their donations going? Here’s the list:

Udaberri – supporting The Hutt Street Centre.
Sean’s Kitchen – supporting Sight For All.
The Highway – supporting The Hutt Street Centre.
NOLA Adelaide – supporting the Humane Society International.
Bar Torino – supporting Centacare.
MyBar Hilton Hotel, South Road – supporting Variety SA.
Imma & Mario’s Mercato – supporting Cambelltown Rotary Club.

A tip of the hat to those venues for supporting such outstanding South Australian organisations. For more information, head to the Negroni Week website.
