Get ready to experience Langhorne Creek like never before with this immersive tasting experience coming to The Lab on 1 April 2022.
Langhorne Creek is a spectacular region on the Fleurieu Peninsula, producing some of South Australia’s finest wines. Now the region will come to you, with 15 Langhorne Creek wineries participating in this special wine tasting event in the CBD.
Make your way down to the Beags bar next door to The Lab, where representatives from each winery or cellar door will take you through a guided tasting. Sip on a smooth Cabernet Sauvignon (what the region is known for) or try something a little new.
The Langhorne Creek region boasts a significantly cooler climate than McLaren Vale, so it is the perfect incubator for Mediterranean varieties less common in Australia, such as Montepulciano, Tempranillo, and Fiano.
The event will be set up like an expo, so guests can feel free to walk to and fro at their leisure. In between tastings, walk into The Lab, where you will find a 360-degree virtual vineyard – truly immersing you into the Langhorne Creek region.
The Lab’s immersive 360-degree LED technology will display a mixture of footage by videographer and photographer Jon Burke. Guests will be surrounded by drone footage across vineyards, cellar door experiences, and long lunches at some of Langhorne’s flagship venues.
Be transported to some of the Fleurieu’s favourite wineries, such as Lake Breeze Wines, Bremerton Wines and Bleasdale Wines – all through the magic of taste buds and LEDs!
It will truly be a memorable experience for all wine lovers looking to get out of the city, without leaving the city.
“There are 150 tickets available for the tasting, we are expecting a sell out!” said Events Coordinator, Olivia den Dekker.
“We have done a similar event with Mr Riggs, except they had a sit down tasting in The Lab with the immersive imagery surrounding them.”
