South Aussie wine lovers have the opportunity to touch greatness this weekend as Jacob Creek partakes in a historic moment for women’s sport.

As the FIFA Women’s World Cup Trophy Tour embarks down under on its trip to the 32 participating nations of the tournament (that’s more countries than ever before!), Official Still Wine Sponsor of the FIFA WWC 2023, Jacob’s Creek Cellar Door is hosting to the FIFA WWC Trophy Tour this Sunday 2 July.

Marking the first time a still wine has sponsored the major world-class event, Jacob’s Creek will welcome patrons to the their beautiful Barossa Valley Cellar Door to celebrate the players who are defying expectations, on and off the football pitch.

This Sunday, you’ll have the opportunity to partake in a meet and greet with FIFA football legends, including former Matilda’s star and SA Hall of Famer Tracey Jenkins, as well as current Adelaide United players Jenna McCormick and and Dylan Holmes. Attendees will be the first to experience Jacob Creek’s purpose-built FIFA pitch and have the opportunity to get involved in the action, with a panel discussion hosted by Jacob Creek’s chief winemaker Dan Swincer. FIFA legend Mana Iwabuchi, who has represented Japan women’s national football team since the age of 16 and participated in 3 FIFA Women’s World Cups will also be in attendance.

Situated in the Barossa for more than a century now, the history of the winery’s sprawling vineyard’s unfolds from its wide, picturesque pristine lawns on which you can savour the delicious wide varieties of Jacob’s Creek, soak up the atmosphere of afternoon’s live music and enjoy the festivities of this moment in history.

The FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023™ is set to be the most watched women’s sporting tournament of all time. This weekend is your opportunity to join in the festive action to celebrate the pinnacle of women’s football!
