A charming Italian-inspired cafe has hit the Torrensville dining scene, offering a warm and welcoming atmosphere with a wealth of dining options.
Sorriso Cafe offers a space for people to relax and enjoy great food while savouring Italian flavours and is the dream of two friends, Prayas P Sangole and Nelson Furtado.
The duo wanted to provide great food and excellent services with a smile, which is reflected in the cafe name itself, ‘Sorriso,’ which means ‘smile’ in Italian.
“Being in this business for the last few years, it’s an expansion of business where we moved to the next level from take away shop to a cafe. We have one more pizza shop with happy customers in a northern suburb called Pizza Capri. We are here to serve guests with the same friendly attitude,” Prayas says.
Prayas and Nelson share a passion for providing exceptional service, which is reflected in their dedication to bringing happiness and joy to their customers.
Lovers of Italian food will be spoilt for choice with the variety of options on the menu at Sorriso Cafe, including delicious pizzas, hearty pasta, classic steaks, burgers and schnitzels and fresh salads, with coffee and cakes also available for those looking for a hot drink or a sweet treat.
“We tried to create a menu suitable for all ages,” Prayas says.
You can expect your plate to be filled with the finest local and imported ingredients, which Prayas and Nelson say ensure their dishes are authentic and full of flavour.
They describe their food as “a celebration of Italian culinary traditions” and believe the true essence of Italian cuisine lies in the use of high-quality ingredients and time-honoured cooking techniques.
For those who enjoy a drink or two, Sorriso Cafe will also soon be able to serve alcohol at the premises.
When guests walk through the doors, Prayas says they can expect fresh food in a cosy atmosphere which is great for family and friends to get together, topped off with friendly service with a smile.
Sorriso Cafe also recently hosted a grand opening to celebrate the official opening of their new restaurant, which Prayas and Nelson were thrilled with.
“We had a great day serving food to our new guests, and it was a successful day for us and a happy day for our guests,” Prayas says.
