Five South Australian producers have been named among the country’s best, with the 2026 delicious. Harvey Norman Produce Awards National Finalists revealed.

This year, five SA names have made the national list, spanning cheese, fruit, pasture-raised produce and seafood. Woodside Cheese Wrights, Singing Magpie Produce, Nomad Farms, Cape Calamari and Goolwa Pipi Co are all in the running for one of the country’s most respected food awards.

Now in its 21st year, the delicious. Harvey Norman Produce Awards celebrate the people behind Australia’s best food, shining a light on the farmers, fishers, growers and artisans whose work underpins the country’s restaurant, hospitality and produce industries.

The awards are judged not only on flavour and quality, but also on how the food is produced, with a focus on ethical practices, sustainability, provenance and care for future generations.

Earlier this year, chefs and industry leaders gathered at State Judging events across the country to taste, discuss and decide which producers would progress to the final round of National Judging. Finalists have been named across four major categories: From the Dairy, From the Earth, From the Paddock and From the Sea.

In the From the Dairy category, Adelaide Hills favourite Woodside Cheese Wrights has once again been recognised on the national stage. The well-known cheesemaker has long been celebrated for its handcrafted cheeses made from goat, cow and buffalo milk, with a strong focus on local produce and traditional cheesemaking techniques.

In the From the Earth category, Riverland producer Singing Magpie Produce has been named as a finalist. The family-run orchard is known for its premium sun-dried fruit and gourmet produce, with a focus on low-impact farming and making the most of the region’s rich growing conditions.

Nomad Farms has been selected in the From the Paddock category, representing South Australia’s pasture-raised and ethical farming sector. Based on the Fleurieu Peninsula, Nomad Farms produces pasture-raised meat and fibre, with a focus on regenerative farming practices and a close connection to the land.

South Australia has also made a strong showing in the From the Sea category, with both Cape Calamari and Goolwa Pipi Co named national finalists.

Cape Calamari is known for celebrating one of SA’s most iconic seafood products, while Goolwa Pipi Co has built a national reputation around its hand-harvested pipis from the Coorong. The company has become one of the state’s most recognisable seafood names, with its produce appearing on menus and in kitchens across the country.

The South Australian finalists join producers from across Australia, including farms, dairies, fisheries and artisan food businesses from New South Wales, Victoria, Queensland, Tasmania and Western Australia.

The full 2026 National Judging Panel includes some of Australia’s best-known chefs and food figures, with the winners to be announced at a special awards event in Sydney on Tuesday, August 4.

For South Australia, the finalist list is another reminder of the strength of the state’s food scene, from the Adelaide Hills and Riverland to the Fleurieu and Coorong. Whether it is cheese, fruit, pasture-raised produce or seafood, these local producers are helping put SA on the national food map.
