Sold Out Women’s Sexual Health show with a twist, Lips & Sips, was brilliant! We all know about the paint and sip events, where people go to drink wine and nibble on crudités and cheese platters while creating their very own Van Gogh. Lips & Sips was a tad spicier!

To be completely blunt, I have never been interested in attending one of these drink, wine and paint events until now. The ladies from Yes Please Collective were not only full of women’s sexual facts, but they were entertaining as well!

We were all happily dipping the brushes in the paint supplied and creating our vulvaesque masterpieces! The girls happily engaged us all with facts and, at times, a pop quiz. I did notice some did seem to stare intently at their canvas during these quizzes while the more outgoing or, better yet, those of us on their third wine piped up with answers! Yes, I did win a condom! Always best to be safe.

At one stage, I glanced around the room, and each participant’s artwork was fantastic. I loved the sense of comrades in the room among the attendees. Comments were positive, and what was great was that the women in the room could relate to one another effortlessly and openly. There wasn’t any shame involved, just honest support.

I wish this interactive show had been available for more nights. I feel bad for those who missed out. This show sold out relatively fast, and after attending, I understand why. I’ve decided to keep in touch with the ladies of Yes Collective so that I may bring more friends with me to another event. If you didn’t realise, the correct term is, well, you’ll have to go to a future show.
