Entering its sixth year, The Color Run is set to dream in bright hues with The Color Run 2017 Dream World Tour, kicking-off in Adelaide on Sunday 21 May at Victoria Park Racecourse.
Stepping out of your imagination and into a world where anything is possible – unicorns are real, and colourful foam clouds make everything better – the Dreams World Tour is the first step toward making dreams happen. It is everything people know and love about The Color Run, but with more radiant colours, giant unicorns and the Dream Wall – a new addition to the course where runners, skippers, dancers, and twirlers spray paint their dreams on the wall in the hope of it one day becoming a reality.
The all-new Dreams World Tour is encouraging Australians to seek new experiences and broaden their world view, increasing their overall wellbeing and health while inspiring them to shoot for the stars and believe anything is possible, whether that be to become a ballerina, the ultimate popstar, or a real-life superhero. 2016 Color Runner and superhero, Melissa O’Connell, shot for the stars last year walking her first ever Color Run after combating a debilitating illness. Not ever wanting to be defined by her illness and adjusting to her new normal, Melissa is set to make her dream of running the 5K course come true this year, surrounded by her family and friends.
“Last year was a huge step for me, but it was definitely one in the right direction. Going through a life changing experience turned my life upside down, but through the love of my friends and family, keeping positive and setting goals, it has only made me stronger,” said Melissa.
“My goal for 2017 is to run The Color Run, with my training well underway. Aiming for the stars is how you get through, you’re in control, so dream big and it could happen! I am so thankful to The Color Run for providing the most colourful, magical and inspiring environment to do this in and I cannot wait to take it on again this year!”
