Shuck it — it’s wine time!
Sweeter words have never been spoken. While this weather might be saying winter is here, we say ignorance is bliss — so grab yourself a glass of bubbles and make like summer by heading to Signature Wines as they welcome ‘The King of Oysters’, Jerry Fraser.
All the way from Perth, Jerry will be showcasing his shucking mastery on some oysters, freshly plucked from our South Aussie shores. And we’ve been told he’s got some skills you need to see to believe.
Oysterman Jerry believes nothing comes close to experiencing oysters immediately after they have been shucked.
“I love the pleasure on people’s faces when they eat them,” he says. “It’s like taking that first plunge into the ocean. It’s clean, pristine, fresh.”
The afternoon will also include sipping on handcrafted wines from the Adelaide Hills and McLaren Vale, while you slurp up half a dozen oysters alongside good friends — the way it should be.
Hosted at Signature Wines’ brand-new function space in Norwood, immerse yourself in one of the hottest events happening this winter and celebrate the reason why Adelaide is known as a food and wine capital.

Your ticket includes one glass of Signature sparkling as well as half a dozen oysters freshly shucked.
Charcuterie and cheese boards, as well as additional oysters, will also be available for purchase on the day, alongside the full Signature Wines range for $9 a glass.
