What could be better than amazing food and wine? Well, how about 18 full days of taste-testing, glass clinking and gastronomic pleasures that will have you smiling from ear to ear? The Grenache & Gourmet Festival has you covered.
This year, in the heart of Springtime, you can sip and nibble your way to bliss with exclusive tastings, paddock-to-plate feasts and one-off collaborations, all set against the picturesque backdrop of our beloved McLaren Vale, only a 40-minute drive from Adelaide. The festival showcases the best that the region has to offer, with fully immersive experiences that will send shockwaves down your tastebuds, with a clear focus on one of McLaren Vale’s most celebrated red wines, Grenache.
Grenache is a medium-to-full-bodied grape variety that is a known to be a very distinctive red wine, with dark fruit flavours and soft tannins, boasting warm spice notes, grown perfectly in the conditions of McLaren Vale and ideal to drink all year round.
Expand your festival experience and wine knowledge by embarking on one of the vineyard tours or blending sessions, learning the craft and passion behind creating McLaren Vale’s iconic Grenache, and chatting with the people that put in the hard yards to take you on a journey from the vineyard to the wine glass.
Enjoy with friends and fellow wine lovers at a festival that unites cellar doors, winemakers and producers, growers and chefs, shining a spotlight on the food and produce for which the region is famous, through long lunches and intimate tastings, in a relaxed and welcoming environment.
The full program launches on July 1, with tickets available for purchase soon, so stay tuned for more information.
