Boutique music festival Handpicked is returning to the picturesque Langhorne Creek in November, with huge preparations in tow for their ‘Decade of Magic’ celebration. Under a beautiful canopy of gum trees, the festival is promising an even bigger and better event than ever before, held at the family winery and backyard of Lake Breeze Wines.
The annual event began as a small backyard concert in 2014, from an idea conceived around the family’s kitchen table, and has since evolved into the intimate festival we all know and love. Welcoming over 6,000 people each year, the event boasts an impressive list of performers that previously included the likes of John Butler and Birds of Tokyo, with last year being headlined by the Hilltop Hoods.
Handpicked is all about attention to detail, dreamy decor and special DIY touches, from a small hands-on team that values good times and positive vibes, and always delivers the goods. Explore the charming vineyards of Lake Breeze Wines with a glass of vino in hand, strolling through ‘The Lane’ and meeting the passionate makers that bring the event to life, and discovering the hidden ‘Cocktail Forest’ bar.
With 20+ food trucks on-site offering a variety of options – including vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and other dietary-specific choices – you’ll be spoilt for choice, and the impressive lineup of entertainers will have you itching to gather your mates together, dust off the picnic blanket, and book your tickets as soon as possible.
While the finer details of the event are being kept strictly top-secret, the annual celebration promises a few cheeky surprises and will release more details closer to November. Tickets will be available for purchase soon, but for now, save the date – November 14 – and stay tuned for more!
