We all love a good holiday, and in South Australia, there are so many beautiful places to visit.

To take your next vacation on the road, why not consider hiring a decked-out campervan?

Local family-owned business Salt Bush Campers has got you covered for all your van needs. They offer custom built, off-grid, pet-friendly campervans for hire.

The business started three years ago when the husband-and-wife team of Skye and Stevie built their first camper (the Mercedes Sprinter named Van Halen). After having a baby, they couldn’t find the time to get out on the road anymore, so they decided to share their beautiful van to the world and hire it out. The rest is history.

They currently have two vans available for hire; Van Halen the Mercedes Sprinter and Betty the 1953 Play Van, but a third is on the way! Van Morrison the Renault Master is just about finished and will be up for hire as of August 20.

“Our inspiration behind Salt Bush Campers came from our own love of Van Life and travel,” shares Skye.

“Once we started hiring out Van Halen, we realised how much joy we got from hearing our guests travel plans and their entire road trip journey.”

“We also take our two dogs on all our road trips, and we wanted to offer that opportunity to our guests. There’s nothing better than having your best mate/fur baby on the road with you. We’ve even had one guest bring their cat!”

Pricing is as follows:
Van Halen  $149 per night (plus booking fee)
Betty – $110 per night (plus booking fee)
Van Morrison – $185 per night (plus booking fee)

Salt Bush Campers also offer long term discounts of 15% for hires over 10 days.
These prices include 24-hour roadside assistance and comprehensive insurance.

Looking for ideas on where to travel in the van? Skye has a few recommendations.

“We did the Eyre Peninsula with Van Halen last new years and it’s a really popular one with our guests!”

“Innes National Park is another really popular one with our guests, as well as Sellicks Beach, Second Valley and the Barossa for the shorter getaways.”
