Today’s official Federal Chamber of Automotive Industry (FCAI) figures show Holden finished the year with 106,094 sales, translating to 9.5 per cent market share for the year. This solid result was driven by strong SUV, pick-up and VF Commodore sales, with the locally produced Commodore range finishing the year with 30,203 sales, up 8.8 per cent year-on-year.

Holden Executive Director of Sales, Peter Keley, states that while market conditions proved challenging in 2014, there were a number of key highlights for Holden that will pay dividends in the future and help ensure a bright future for Holden.

Holden highlights for 2014 included releasing the Trax 1.4 Turbo, MY15 Commodore and Colorado ranges.

Holden also made big strides in customer service and satisfaction programs focusing on the ‘Professional Care’ program. This program gives Holden service a new identity that is dedicated to customer satisfaction, providing the best value and offering complete peace of mind through servicing and genuine parts.  Professional Care is headlined by Holden’s Capped Price Servicing (CPS) scheme.

With CPS, every new eligible Holden comes with Capped Price Servicing for standard services for the first three years of ownership or the first 60,000km. Customers will never pay more than they expect for a standard service.

Mr Keley also highlighted a number of announcements made in 2014 that will reap long-term benefits for the Lion brand and its customers, including the retention of the world-class Lang Proving Ground. This ensures future Holden’s will be tuned for Australian conditions and customers; all our cars will continue to speak to customers with a strong Australian accent.

In 2015, Holden will launch three European-sourced vehicles: the sleek Cascada convertible, the Astra GTC and VXR three-door hatches and the sophisticated Insignia VXR performance sedan.
