Iconic Beerenberg Farm launch exciting $2.6 million expansion

Set to open to the public on November 29th, you’ll be able to enjoy fresh food and drink in the new Farm Cafe, take part in tastings, and more.

Is there any better way to spend a sunny spring day than picking your own fresh strawberries?

We didn’t think so either until Beerenberg Farm announced their stunning new makeover.

Beloved food producer Beerenberg has completed an eight-month expansion of its former packing shed and shop site.

The expanded farm shop is now complemented by a cafe, Beerenberg museum and demo kitchen with an associated function space that doubles as a private tasting room.

There’s also an in-house ice creamery with more than 10 flavours to choose from.

The original storefront has been owned by the Paech family since 1839 and the family have been running strawberry picking at the farm since 1975,  having never missed a season.

Marketing director Sally Paech said the new visitor experience is set to see thousands of people through its doors this strawberry picking season.

“Strawberry picking has become an Adelaide institution.”

“There’s nothing quite like the taste of freshly picked strawberries. And, not to be biased, but we think we’ve got the best strawberries on earth. Juicy, ripe, and packed with sweetness and flavour, our strawberries are nothing like any you’ve tasted before, ” said Sally.

Set to open to the public on November 29th, you’ll also be able to enjoy fresh food and drink in the brand new Beerenberg Farm Cafe, and take part in tastings, cooking demonstrations and more.

“We can’t wait for everyone to see our new Farm Shop and be able to stop, relax and enjoy a great coffee, lunch and even delicious scones with jam and cream,” added Sally.

The Beerenberg Family Farm is open 7 days a week* (closed Christmas Day) with patch entry from 9 am to 4.15 pm (Farm Shop closes at 5 pm).

The Beerenberg Family Farm is located at 2106 Mount Barker Rd, Hahndorf.
