You know those somewhat hazy few days in the middle of the festive season where there’s a sense of winding down from the hype of Christmas Day, yet you’re still pumped to ring in the New Year? It can certainly be a confused time between the end of an old year and the start of a new one.
Thankfully, Kimbolton Wines have you sorted these holidays with their ‘kick-back week’, an event running between December 27 and January 1 that’ll have guests unwinding with wine, delicious eats and lawn games.
“It’s that time in between Christmas and New Year where families and friends are catching up, everything’s really relaxed”, says owner Nicole Clark.
“We’re providing a place to do that in a safe environment, with lots of outdoor seating”.
Live music will feature on the 27th and 28th whilst you relax on their expansive lawn, roof top or front deck that overlooks the stunning vines and gums surrounding their cellar door.
Grab a glass or bottle of their famous regional wine or a can of new release ‘Little Pete Ale’ from the Fleurieu Peninsula, and enjoy their stunning Langhorne Creek setting.
Eats from Oskar & Co food truck will also be on offer, with plenty of choice for the whole family including nachos, burgers, nuggets, hot chips and more.
Once your tummy is sufficiently satisfied, grab your mates and join in for a game of giant connect four or quiots, just to make sure your brain hasn’t completely fizzled over the festive break!
Their gorgeous cellar door is only three years old and was built using re-purposed shipping containers, with recycled timber fixtures adding to its modern architecturally designed look.
Visitors to their cellar door can choose from a selection of wine and cheese flights, as well as local produce platters, with tasting plates even available for the kids!
Their ‘kick-back week’ is a FREE event, and is sure to attract families and friends alike looking to unwind between Christmas and New Year.
Walk-ins are welcome, but bookings are recommended, so make sure to mark this one down in the holiday calendar.
