Nestled along the charming main street of Tanunda, the Krondorf Cellar Door is set to captivate locals and visitors alike with its enticing ‘Local Fridays’ event series.
As the sun begins to dip on those late afternoons, offering a respite from the daily grind, Krondorf is the perfect setting to enjoy a mix of Barossa’s history with that contemporary urban vibe the cellar door offers.
It’s the kind of place one might expect to find in a bustling CBD laneway with its exceptional wines, small plates, locally sourced charcuterie, and modern vibe – yet it’s on Tanunda’s main street.
The ‘Local Fridays’ series is set to launch on November 17th, opening its doors at 3 pm and continuing until closing time. These events will become a regular feature every third Friday of the month throughout the summer season.
During the event you can expect to find delicious small plates of Dill-cured salmon, heirloom tomatoes, hoummous or roasted pork scotch with Japanese eggplant dressing. Of course, Krondorf wines are on the pour, plus Champagne Lanson and beer for those who want something other than wine.
Whether you’re a local or a visitor, Krondorf wants everyone to feel a part of the community.
While the cellar door itself was established recently, Krondorf Wines boasts a storied history that dates back to the 1850s, with the brand formally established in the 1960s. The Tanunda cellar door serves as the latest chapter in Krondorf’s story.
Inside, guests are greeted by a luxurious ambiance with its dimmed lighting, premium decor, and an impressive array of award-winning Krondorf wines.
“The new cellar door has a very high-end, premium look and feel,” Tony Ganzis, the cellar door manager told Glam Adelaide when it opened in December 2021. “It exudes an inner-city, sleek wine bar vibe, welcoming wine enthusiasts and newcomers alike to experience Krondorf in a new and captivating way.”
The new ‘Local Fridays’ event is a perfect chance to catch a glimpse at what Krondorf offers as you unwind, enjoy exceptional wines, and relish the start of the weekend in style.
