A fermented foods frenzy and pickling party are coming to Bowden, and we’re excited!
With their ferment-heavy dishes and venue peppered with jars of homemade garnishes, it’s no secret that the team at My Grandma Ben adores pickling and fermenting. Now, they’re sharing that love with you with the latest instalment of their pickling workshop on June 15.
Their successful series of pickling workshops have proven a hit with the community, as the team guides you through the pickling of peak-season vegetables to maximise flavour, and making delicious condiments, such as sauerkraut and preserved chilli.
Included in the 2.5 hour workshops are all the ingredients you’ll need to complete three amazing recipes (malt pickled onions, a mixed vegetable pickle, and a classic sauerkraut), take-home recipes, and a glass of wine. You get to learn and take home your creations to enjoy all year ’round.
My Grandma Ben will give you the confidence to pickle and ferment to your heart’s delight.
“You’ll learn all the tips and tricks needed to start pickling and fermenting like a pro from your own kitchen,” they say.
“You’ll leave this workshop with the confidence to turn anything from your spring market haul into something remarkable.”
My Grandma Ben is a sustainable-focused café, bar and workshop space that actively work to minimise food and plastic waste through ethical food production and sustainable business practices.
The next seasonal pickling and fermenting workshop will be held on June 15.
