New e-vouchers to boost SA live music sector

SA venue owners can now apply for e-vouchers worth up to $2000 to host live music acts in a boost to the sectork, the State Government has announced.

The State Government have announced this morning that South Aussie venue owners can apply for e-vouchers worth up to $2000 to host live music acts.

The new round of e-vouchers is open for registrations from today. The assistance is part of the Malinauskas Labor Government’s $10 million See It LIVE package to bolster the State’s music sector

Venues will have the option to apply for a single e-voucher valued at $400 and a five-pack of e-vouchers worth $2000 (five $400 vouchers for a total value of $2000).

Arts Minister Andrea Michaels believes live music is vital to the State’s entertainment and hospitality sector.

“Live music has a significant impact on South Australia’s culture, wellbeing, and nightlife” she says.

“We hope the new five pack will get even more musicians back into pubs, clubs, small bars, restaurants, cafes, and other venues all around the state all summer long.”

The e-vouchers are available for any business looking to host live music acts, including pubs, clubs, bars, restaurants, and cafes. Single e-vouchers will suit venues hosting smaller or less frequent gigs, while the five-pack will provide much needed continuity for bigger venues

The vouchers are retrospective and can be used for any live music performance since 1 December 2022 through to 16 April 2023.

Launched in June, the See it LIVE package has already supported many musicians, venues and promoters throughout the state as part of a range of performances, venue upgrades and events, and has encouraged South Australians to attend their favourite venues.
