New venue and mobile cocktail-making business Calabria Venue & Bar couldn’t agree more, so much so that it had decided to incorporate the lot.
Operators Andrew and Sarah hope to inspire you to take a dip in the cocktail pool for your next event.
The pair have been busy operating the Espresso Martini Van all across Adelaide, catering for all of your favourite functions.
“The Espresso Martini Van is based in Port Adelaide and we’ve had so much success that we thought we’d venture out and do something different,” Andrew said.
Calabria Venue & Bar has placed its roots in an old woolshed that served as the business’ home base that is now available for private events and cocktails making classes.
“The now converted 60sqm warehouse has become a chill hangout area where you can enjoy the day with your mates in a relaxed environment. In our cocktail lounge set up, there are different pockets of the venue for you to enjoy,” Andrew continued.
Calabria Venue & Bar wishes to evoke feelings of nostalgia with its huge warehouse party sensibility that’ll make you feel sentimental as hell.
The space has a generous capacity of 50-60 guests and offers a 1-2 hour cocktail-making class for groups min. 8 max. 16. Each guest is given 2 cocktails with the whole experience offered for $45 per head.
Within the class, Andrew will walk you through the background of the traditional Martini as well as its many incarnations over the years. You’ll be able to shimmy and shake your own cocktail making the experience more tangible and novelty than just a traditional wine tour.
“The great thing about this space is that we’re walking distance from Pirate Life which is great because we have such a wonderful relationship with the team and it’s really wonderful to see such great offerings come out of the area,” Andrew continued.

The original Espresso Martini Van was created at a time when Espresso Martini was all the rage. If we say the year 2016, there’s no way that you wouldn’t picture your Friday night with an Espresso Martini in hand.
Now Andrew and Sarah have seen a slight shift in people’s appetite for different types of cocktails.
“The Van was built and established in 2016 when Espresso Martinis were very popular. But now we’re starting to see people’s appetite for drinks have changed and now we offer a range of other cocktails like Cosmos, Gimlet etc.” Andrew said.
Expect to see The Espresso Martini Van out in full force this Summer along with any party plans made Calabria Venue & Bar.
The Espresso Martini will be appearing in Rundle Mall on December 23 for Christmas shopping, Twilight Races on the 16th at Morphettville Racecourse, Fork in the Road as well as this week’s VALO Adelaide 500 and all over West Beach Caravan Park this Summer.
