Pikes Wines launch two new luxury dining experiences in its intimate, hill-top Pruner’s Hut

Nestled at the top of a hill amongst the luscious green vines of Clare Valley’s Pikes Wines Cellar Door, sits the Pruner’s Hut – an intimate, purpose-built stone building that boasts stunning panoramic views and is now open for all to enjoy through two brand new tasting experiences.

Set within the four walls of the picturesque Pruner’s Hut, wine enthusiasts can choose between a private wine tasting and a long lunch, both of which allow guests exclusive access to the venue.

The first experience, the private tasting, allows guests to delve deeper into the history of Pikes and the unique terroir which produces their famous wines.

If, on the other hand, you are a passionate foodie, the long lunch experience is for you. It features a four-course modern Australian menu prepared by Slate Restaurant Head Chef, Tristran Steele.

Each course is then paired with one of Pikes’ Estate grown wines, creating the perfect food and wine indulgence. These experiences can be booked separately or together and, while both are of an intimate nature, they provide guests with exclusive use of the unique Pruner’s Hut location.

Perfect for small groups, both experiences can be booked for a minimum of 6 and a maximum of 12 people.

The Pruners’ Hut is just one of the many ways to enjoy the stunning Clare Valley property which is also home to the award-winning Slate Restaurant. One of the AGFG’s highest-rated restaurants in the Clare Valley, Slate showcases the amazing range of Pikes estate-grown wines and craft beers from Pikes Beer Co. alongside a Modern Australian menu, with a focus on local produce.

The majority of fruits and vegetables used throughout their seasonal menu are grown onsite in their kitchen garden with meats supplied by local providers in the Clare Valley and surrounding areas.

Pikes Wines is one of SA’s oldest family-run businesses with its roots in the beverage making industry dating back to 1886 and with the weather warming up, it really is the perfect time to visit and indulge in one of the new experiences on offer.
