Sisters-in-law, Jules and Bec Ashmead, launched the Small Victories Wine Co brand in August 2021 and have been busy creating a cellar door space that makes visitors feel like they are coming into a cosy home. Open Friday – Monday, 11am – 4pm, it’s only a one hour drive from the city to the Barossa for your next visit.

Jules and Bec are also committed to giving back to the community. Proceeds from the tasting fees at cellar door are donated to one of the charities Small Victories Wine Co have partnered with. At the end of each tasting, visitors choose which of the charities they’d like to support.

The Small Victories wines are hand-crafted by Jules. They are seriously delicious and are styled for drinking right now – there is no need to cellar the wines or worry about the right time to open them.

“The wines are made with an element of fun. You don’t need to sit around talking about them, instead enjoy the moment as you savour them with friends and loved ones,” Bec notes.

The signature tasting experience at cellar door is unexpected, but delicious. You must try the Wine + Potato Crisps tasting.

“We have had many a conversation whilst enjoying the humble potato crisp and a glass of wine. It’s also one of Bec’s favourite snacks to enjoy on a Friday afternoon. And so was born this fun tasting experience,” said Jules.

What better way to enjoy the Small Victories vision of wines that are fun, fresh and modern, than a tasting that pairs wines with potato crisps? You will enjoy four wines matched with four flavours of potato crisps as you explore the beauty of easy drinking wines and salty, crispy goodness.

Enjoy a wine tasting inside or find a spot on the lawn to lay out a picnic rug and have a laugh with some outdoor games while enjoying a bottle of wine.

Another plus is that the Small Victories Wine Co cellar door is co-located with Elderton Wines, which is also owned by the Ashmead family. As a visitor, you will be able to experience wine tastings at two cellar doors in one location.
