Carlos (a Red Angus Steer) took out the prestigious Blue Ribbon at this year’s Show and was crowned the 2010 Grand Champion after being judged on hoof and on the hook against all the other steers.

The Stag Hotel purchased Carlos and now boasts 300 kilos of selected cuts on its menu for a limited time – until the Grand Champion is all gone! Selected cuts include burgers, striploin, fillets and rumps, with the Grand Champion 200g eye fillet selling for $33.00.

Renowned as being ‘Serious About Meat’, with the largest range of high-quality steak in Adelaide, meat-lovers are encouraged to make their way to The Stag Hotel to get their slice of Carlos. If he runs out, they’ll just have to wait until next year, when The Stag will purchase the 2011 Royal Adelaide Show Grand Champion to add to its menu.
