UB40 are bringing their Unstoppable World Tour to Adelaide with Soul II Soul

UB40 will bring their Unstoppable World Tour to Adelaide in May 2027, joined by British soul and R&B group Soul II Soul.

Reggae heavyweights UB40 are returning to Adelaide as part of their Unstoppable World Tour, bringing British soul and R&B group Soul II Soul along as special guests.

The British band will perform at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre Theatre on Wednesday, May 19, 2027, as part of a six-date tour spanning Australia and New Zealand.

The tour will celebrate almost five decades of UB40, with fans promised a hit-filled set drawing from the extensive catalogue that has made the group one of Britain’s most successful musical exports.

Formed in Birmingham in 1978, UB40 have sold more than 100 million records worldwide and achieved more than 50 UK hit singles and 11 UK Top 10 albums.

Their catalogue includes enduring favourites such as Red Red Wine, Kingston Town, Food for Thought, I Got You Babe and (I Can’t Help) Falling in Love with You.

Four surviving founding members remain in the current lineup, including Robin Campbell, Norman Hassan, Earl Falconer and Jimmy Brown. The 11-piece band is fronted by lead vocalist Matt Doyle, who joined UB40 in 2021.

The Australian and New Zealand dates will form part of the group’s Unstoppable album campaign, with new music currently in the works.

Robin Campbell said the band was excited to reunite with its Australian and New Zealand fans.

“It is always special for us to reunite with so many fans and friends down under, and it will be a great celebration with Soul II Soul supporting,” Robin said.

“Get your dancing shoes on and grab your bottle of red red wine, because we can’t help falling in love with Australia and NZ.”

Drummer Jimmy Brown said the Unstoppable shows had been among the most enjoyable of the band’s long career.

“The band sounds amazing, the set is full of surprises, fans will be singing and dancing all night long, and we are playing better than we ever have in 50 years,” Jimmy said.

Joining UB40 at every Australian and New Zealand show will be Grammy Award-winning group Soul II Soul.

Led by founder Jazzie B and vocalist Charlotte Kelly, the British group became known around the world for blending R&B, soul, reggae and dance music.

The group’s biggest tracks include Back to Life and Keep On Movin’, while Australian audiences may remember its appearances at WOMADelaide and Golden Plains.

The Adelaide concert will take place at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre Theatre on Wednesday, May 19, 2027.

Presale tickets will be available from 9am on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, before general tickets go on sale at 9am on Thursday, August 13, 2026, through Destroy All Lines.
