Wineries Face Off For Barossa Valley Vs McLaren Vale

The inaugural Barossa Valley Vs McLaren Vale wine battle will be held at the Arkaba Hotel on May 29th, with regional producers to face off.

The inaugural Barossa Valley Vs McLaren Vale wine event is to be held at the Arkaba Hotel on Sunday May 29th, with regional producers to face off against each other from across the room.

There will be no fisticuffs however, rather a showcase of the huge array of wines, from cheap and cheerful all the way to super premiums from each region, with well over 100 wines to be available for tasting.

The Barossa Valley and McLaren Vale are arguably the two most famous regions in South Australia if not Australia, with attendees to be really spoiled for choice. The Barossa is a hot continental climate but the numerous valleys and hills produce a wide range of microclimates within the area. Meanwhile, McLaren Vale’s Mediterranean climate is greatly influenced by the ocean, and McLaren Vale is famous for it’s long warm days and short cool nights.

Oliver's Taranga

Big names like Penfolds, Jacobs Creek, Yalumva and Wolf Blass will feature alongside local favourites Tatachilla, Penny’s Hill, Grant Burge, Gramps and Oliver’s Taranga, with too many to list.

Remember to drink plenty of water to avoid that incredible attractive red win teeth stain. Tickets are available now here, and are a bit cheaper if you get in early.
